Greetings Louisburg UMC,
I hope that you have had a wonderful week. The weather has been great!
We have a lot happening in the life of our church right now! Holy week is just around the corner. Easter is on Sunday, April 4. We are planning to have three Easter services here at the church . Services will be held at 8:00 am, 9:30 am, 11:00 am with reservations & masks required. The reservations link will be emailed to everyone this weekend. M&M Club will be perrforming during the 9:30 service and our annual Easter Egg hunt will be at 10:30am. Will you please bring a bag of pre-wrapped candy for the egg hunt?
In addition to our Easter services, the rest of the Holy Week schedule is:
March 28: Palm Sunday
April 1: Maundy Thursday 7:00 pm
April 2: Good Friday 7:00 pm
We have two opportunities for you to get involved with the ministries of the church.
- On Sunday morning at 9:45 am, the mission team will be meeting in Fellowship Hall. If you are interested in the mission team meeting but cannot attend in person, please let Shawna know and she will send you a zoom link (firstname.lastname@example.org). We have a few mission updates to talk about and we would like to set up a calendar for our mission projects for the year.
- Monday night at 6:30 pm the Facilities team will be meeting in person. This is an opportunity to take a look at the church facilities, to discuss projects, and help put a plan in place for accomplishing those projects. This meeting will not be available via Zoom as we will be walking around the property and the building.
As you join us for worship on Sunday we will continue working our way through the Ten Commandments. This week we find ourselves looking at 2 commandments: thou shall not steal, and thou shall not commit murder. While these two commandments seem like the biggest no brainers in the commandments, there is more to them than we may think. I look forward to worshipping with you on Sunday as we look at "The Ten Commandments Today."
Remember, you can join us live at 8:30 am and 10:30 am, or through the live stream on our website, Facebook, or Youtube at 10:30 am (links are below)
As a reminder, even though people are starting to be vaccinated for the COVID-19 virus, masks & social distancing are still required in our church.
Have a great weekend!
