I hope that you are having a great week! 
Coming up Sunday is the Blessing of the Backpacks! I hope that you will join us for worship at 8:30 and 10:30 as we bless all the children, youth, teachers, and administrators. We have 2 gifts for everyone! Also on Sunday, we are continuing our sermon series called "Kingdom: What can Chief's Kingdom teach us about the Kingdom of God?" 
 
3rd Grade Bibles: Do you have a child entering 3rd grade? Next Sunday we will be presenting Bible's to 3rd graders. Please contact Shawna at info@louisburgumc.org for more information.
Church Conference: Next Sunday, August 22 will be a special called all church meeting called a Church Conference. Our District Superintendent Micki McCorkle will be with us to lead the meeting. You do not have to be a member of the church to attend. The meeting will focus upon:
  1. Updates about our church
  2. 1st look at the building and plans
  3. Approval of Better Together capital campaign to raise funds for building
One Service Next Sunday: Because of the Church Conference we will have only 1 service next Sunday at 9:30 am. 
Baptism and New Member Sunday: Are you interested in being baptized, having your children baptized, or becoming a member of the church, please contact Shawna at info@louisburgumc.org. Pastor Brad is hosting coffee with the pastor to prepare for joining the church and baptism coming up on Monday night August 23 at 6:30pm. 
Labor Day Parade Float: Would you like to be a part of the church float for the annual Labor Day parade? Please see Shawna for more information.
Better Together Kickoff: Sunday, September 12 will be the kickoff for the Better Together capital campaign. We will have 1 service at 9:30, followed by a short presentation on the campaign, team meetings (everyone gets to join a team), and lunch. 
Invite A Friend Sunday: Do you have someone you have been wanting to invite to church? Sunday September 19 is your chance! The theme, message, and service will be for everyone, but focus upon visitors and how they can make our LUMC their church home.
